NELSON, Paul.
On Monday 17 November 2014, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, aged 65 years.

Loved husband of Kathy, admired father of Sarah, treasured son of Rose and the late Joseph, son-in-law of Gaenor and the late Keith. Special brother and friend of Gerald and brother-in -law of Colin & Vicky, Ruth & Alex, Peter, Robyn & Chris, and Alan & Denise and loved uncle of his many nieces and nephews. Treasured nephew and cousin to family in Scotland.

Valued archivist and consummate public servant.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr Werry and the staff of Island Bay Medical Centre and Island Bay Pharmacy; the many Capital & Coast DHB medical teams and ward and district nursing staff who cared for Paul over the past 16 years; and recently the Mary Potter Hospice.

A special thanks also to the colleagues of Kathy (Graduate School of Nursing, Midwifery & Health, Victoria University), Sarah (Health Promotion Agency) and Gerald (Bank of New Zealand) who enabled us to care for Paul at home.

A rosary will be held at his home on Wednesday 19 November at 7pm.

A service to celebrate Paul's life will be held on Thursday 20 November at 11am at St Francis de Sales Church, Cnr of Mersey and Clyde Streets, Island Bay, followed by a private cremation.
