Phipps, Raymond Frederick (Ray)
Peacefully at Middlemore Hospital, aged 82 years.

Beloved husband and companion of Mary for 61 years, beloved father of Graeme, Mary-Anne Hobbs (Christchurch), John (Auckland) and the late Roger. Father-in-law of Sandy Phipps, Bruce Hobbs, Kathie Phipps and Coral Kells (previously Coral Phipps). Brother and brother-in-law of Gordon Phipps, Joy and George Wilkinson. Adored Garg and Poppy to Leanne and Mike, Justin and Angelique, Shannon, Caden and Kirsten, Tristan, Ryan, Roger, Marcus, Adam, Elisha and Anthea and great-grandfather to Liam and Blake Hobbs, Brayden and Riley Secker, Ryan, Emmalia and Lillyana Hobbs.

“Grateful thanks to St John’s Ambulance and the doctors, nurses and staff on Ward 6 at Middlemore Hospital. We’d like to extend our special thanks to family and friends who have shown us so much love and support over the last few days”.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St John’s Ambulance would be greatly appreciated and may be left at the Chapel.

A service for Ray will be held at the Manukau Memorial Garden Chapel 361 Puhinui Rd, Wiri Auckland on Friday, October 17th at 11.00am followed by a private family burial.
