Left this life suddenly and much too soon on holiday at Lake Hawea on August 26th 2014 aged just 67 years.

Dearly loved and loving partner and best friend of Robyn Steele; adored father and father in law of Daniel and Jen, Morgan and Inneke, and Kate; much loved granddad of Bella and Finn and baby Eleanor; loved brother and brother in law of William and Georgina, Michael and Dorothy (UK), Josie and John Robertson and the late Patrick; loved uncle of Melissa and Emma, Julian and Matthew, Cameron and Chloe, Jane and Blair; and great uncle to Matthew, Daniel and James, Iris and Charlie, Georgie, Sophie, Seth and Max.

Much loved friend of Nigel Miller and Carol, Todd and Kathryn Steele, Sharon and Richard Fulton and loved Bazil of Pippa, Anna and Olive.

Dearly loved son of the late Joe Lonergan and Elizabeth Shields.

A celebration of Barry's life will be held at The Boatshed, Taranaki Street Wharf, Wellington on Monday 1 September 2014 at 2:00pm and will be followed by private cremation.
