On 28 April 2009 at Dunedin Hospital after a long illness; aged 65 years.

Dearly loved partner of Lexie. Loved father, father-in-law and friend of Vaun and Christine and their family, Jason, Leah, Alysha, Daniel, and Kayla. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Ron and Cheryl, uncle of his nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and respected friend of Geoff and Nicky Marsden, Brent and Annabel Parker, Shelley and Kasten Bojesen, Karl and Ruth and their families.

A service for John will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10.30am on Friday May 1, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations for the Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
