O’Brien, Robert Gregor (Greg)

Died at Whangarei Hospital, following a short illness, on Tuesday 2 August 2022. He was 75 years old.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lester Heights Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.

Greg was survived by 3 children who love him very much - Matthew, Daniel and Anne - and one grandchild, Emerald, who hears many stories about him.

Married to Liz from 1969 - 2002 and together they built a life during that time.

Oldest son of Bob and Anna O’Brien of Gore.

Admired older brother to Alice, Fay, Christopher, Roger, Janice and Rupa (Robyn).

Fun Uncle to Cheryl and Allison; Penny and Kate; Ben, Emily and Jessica; and Jarrah.

Son in law to Cecily and Doug Palmer. Father in law to Chris. Brother in law to Rick and Barbbra, and to Andrew, Nick, Louisa, Sarah, and Benjamin. Uncle to Jeremy and Anita; and Charlotte.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at The Pines, 50 the Esplanade, Houghton Bay, Wellington, on Wednesday 10 August at 3pm.
