Dear Karen, Candice, Mitchell and Ashlee We know that your hearts are breaking but so to are ours. . He was a much loved son , brother and uncle . Just a little verse that has in the past helped us through troubled waters "What the heart has once held and loved it shall never loose" Andy along with his brother Owen will always be in our hearts, just as Andy will always be in yours. We love you all, please remember that.
Love Mum, Dad Valerie and family

So sorry to hear of the tragic accident. Brent remembers Andy well from our days living near Ohakea. I remember Candice and family from teaching her as a vibrant 6 year old at Sanson School. She was full of life and courage - the star performer in the Puff the Magic Dragon song of the school production that year. I know that your parents will have done a beautiful job of bringing up all you kids and you will look after each other and get through this.
Love Helen Best, Brent Sawyers (now Mum of 2 children (5 and 6 yrs) teaching locally while Brent is based at Woodbourne)

A long time ago there were two young women who lived together in Sanson, both named Karen. One had two children, Michael and Mandy Brooke, the second had a darling little girl Candy Brooke. A shy young airmen named Andy used to visit regularly, clearly besotted by Karen and Candy...... Karen it seemed an eternity since our time in Sanson, but when I heard the tragic news on Thursday it seemed like only yesterday. I cant even begin to imagine the impact this will be having on you and your family. Andy loved you since the day he met you. Our thoughts are with you and the children, Love Karen, Michael and Amanda Thompson

Words cannot express how we felt and are feeling through out upon hearing this news about Andy. Our hearts break for you and the children and family.
We would simply like you to know, when all go their busy ways, Andy will not be forgotten. Always in our hearts. Anything we can do to ask. We remember happy times. We all share your grief, at this sad time of your life, but...
"Flowers can still blossom in the hardest and harshest times in the dessert " We are sure ANDY was a very special flower for all and when he served to keep others safe. When you walk in your garden he will be there... the most fragrant and lovely of all. Much Love Sonya John Victor Phillips
